Infor, a leading provider of industry-specific cloud applications, recently announced that Office Depot, Inc. plans to implement GT Nexus Commerce Network solutions.

Infor’s solutions will enhance Office Depot’s operational systems capabilities and transportation management. Office Depot aims to improve its service levels and reduce cost by providing shipment visibility for their direct import supply chain.

Rick DiMaio, Vice President of supply chain for Office Depot, Inc. said, “Infor’s global operations platform allows us to improve our supply chain automation so we can react faster, be more agile, and have greater control over our direct import operations. By enhancing our inventory management, it will ultimately lead to a better customer experience.”

Office Depot will be using Infor’s commerce network and will have access to Procure-to-Pay tools. These tools automate the supply chain transaction process on a multi-tenant, multi-enterprise platform in the cloud. This allows for real-time order negotiation and confirmation with suppliers and trading partners, creation of electronic fulfillment documents, and tracking of inventory and payments in real-time.
