Microsoft beings Cortana to Skype

Microsoft is bringing its intelligent virtual assistant into its chat service “to to help you in your everyday conversations”

Cortana can make suggestions and recommendations based on the chat content. With Cortana’s in-context assistance, the conversations are expected to become easier. It can even suggest smart replies and help you organize your day by scheduling events for you. You can also have one-on-one chats with Cortana and get answers to your questions, recommendations, flight status, and more.

Microsoft’s move to bring Cortana to Skype comes more than two years ago after Facebook first introduced a digital assistant for its Messenger app called M.

Microsoft said the feature will be rolled out gradually to iOS and Android users in the US.
